How do I activate my ToughTail device?

Download the ToughTail app and follow the in‑app pairing flow to link your device and activate the cellular plan.

Are the ToughTail Standard Tracker and Guidance Collar waterproof?

Yes. Both are rated IP67 (1 m for 30 minutes). For best results, keep the tracker’s USB‑C port cover fully closed and dry the collar charge contacts before use.

What devices are compatible?

iOS 15+ and Android 11+ with Bluetooth 5.0. A web dashboard is on our roadmap.

How long does the battery last on the Standard Tracker?

Typical 5–7 days between charges, depending on activity, coverage and update frequency.

How long does the battery last on the Guidance Collar?

Up to 24 hours of continuous streaming guidance. Typical usage varies based on guidance schedules and activity.

Can I share access with family?

Yes, invite additional guardians from the app. Each can receive alerts and view live location.

Do I need a plan for each pet?

Each ToughTail device needs its own service plan, but you can manage multiple devices from the same account.

Where is ToughTail available?

We currently ship within the United States and Canada. Roaming is available in Mexico; EU coverage is on our roadmap.

What is Live Tracking Mode?

Live Tracking Mode increases update frequency, can activate the LED beacon, and shares location with trusted guardians.

How do returns work?

Hardware returns are accepted within 30 days in original condition. Plans can be cancelled at renewal.

Do you support cats?

Yes, the ToughTail Guidance Collar includes smaller strap options designed for cats and small dogs.
